2019 — Beginning
Alla, Walla, and Mohammad Awad began organizing meaningful community events to unite neighbors, spark generosity, and strengthen Muslim identity.
2019–2023 — Local Impact
Grew programming across the community, hosting 50+ events at the local mosque focused on youth empowerment, education, and civic engagement.
Feb 2023 — Humanitarian Response
Organized a major clothing drive at Masjid Omar Bin Abdul Aziz after the devastating Turkey–Syria earthquake, marking a turning point in our relief work
2024 — Official Launch of Hasana
In response to community needs after Gaza was struck, Hasana was formally created to scale local empowerment into international relief efforts.
2024–Present — Direct Aid & Transparency
Deployed trusted teams on the ground in Gaza and Lebanon, sharing daily, transparent video updates showing exactly how donations are used.

What is Hasana and what does the organization do?
Hasana is an organization dedicated to empowering the Muslim community locally and globally through various initiatives and events. It focuses on fostering unity, supporting communites in need, and promoting youth empowerment. The organization organizes impactful events that inspire positive change, strengthen Muslim identity, and encourage community involvement. Their activies range from educational programs to rapid-response aid efforts. Hasana values unity, empowerment, and transparency in all its efforts.
Is Hasana 501(c)(3) organization?
We are currently operating under a fiscal sponsor, Intuitive Solutions Foundation, which provides tax-exempt status for all donations. Our 501(c)(3) application is in progress.
What are the overhead costs?
As an early-stage nonprofit, our overhead costs are currently targeted at 10% per donation. However, given the nature of our growth, these expenses may occasionally exceed or fall below this threshold. We are committed to keeping them as close to 10% as possible, or even lower when feasible. Donating to Hasana Operations will greatly help us maintain this goal by covering essential expenses like administrative work, payment processing, and operational support, ensuring we can continue to serve effectively.
Zakat donations: We do not deduct any percentage from Zakat donations, so 100% of these funds go directly to the intended cause.
How does Hasana help communities in need?
We collect donations and distribute them through reliable sources to communities in need worldwide.
How does Hasana ensure funds are used responsibly?
We maintain continuous communication with local contacts in the affected areas to verify prices and prioritize essential needs. Additional items are purchased if funds allow.
How do you transfer the donations?
We transfer the donations through secure bank transfers.
Is Hasana open to plan other organizations or other people’s events?
Yes, we offer event planning for selective events. To find out if we can assist with your event, please contact us for more details.
Can I write a check to Hasana?
Yes, it will have to be to Intuitive Solutions Foundation in order to be tax exempt.
